Product ManagementOverview
Eon Technologies’ product management process is purely based on core customer needs and desires. Customer-driven practices allow us to view a product from every aspect of a customer, shaping its dimensions in accordance to user requirements. Our specialised managers over the years have gained hands-on experience in managing enterprise product development - right from the start till the end. Their knowledge horizon spans across numerous business and user needs relevant today along with core technology expertise.

We employ latest tools and techniques to execute enterprise-level product management tasks and activities. As part of product management, we administer various aspects of management cycle like planning and estimating, liaisoning with relevant stakeholders of the product, mentoring and guiding teams to achieve planned goals, ensuring quality deliveries, and providing adequate support services in the end. Our practices and procedures are geared specifically to result in a cohesive functioning of all product management aspects, yielding the best possible solution for target market segments.

Staged Delivery
Eon Technologies' product delivery model involves dispensing the complete product in the form of numerous components in successive stages. Staged deliveries are beneficial in every sense - easy and early detection of development flaws, which in turn helps in quick rectification.

Our technical and project leads conduct periodic reviews of the work in progress, enabling them to take corrective measures for further enhancement of the product. During the entire delivery process, our technical team is at hand to help client in deploying the solution onsite.A typical delivery stage would include analysis & design artifacts, deployable code, test packs with results, deployment instructions and release notes. The actual number of stages to deliver the complete product is decided before hand taking into consideration the project size, complexity, and issues concerning integration, deployment, etc.

Project CommunicationProject Communication
During the entire product development life cycle, Eon Technologies maintains a highly effective communication process, keeping project teams at both ends abreast of the work in progress. We have various communication models to maintain smooth communication with our clients, one of them being placing a full-time client coordinator on-site. The client coordinator channels all queries, inputs and deliverables between the client and development teams.

Following procedures are adopted by us for all our project communications:

Communication Levels:
We ensure our project communications are felicitated at the Management level and Development level to avoid failures caused by communication gaps at any stage. At Management level, communication is maintained through Progress Reports (Daily, Weekly & Monthly), Project Review Reports, Minutes of Meetings, etc. At Development level, communications regarding Problems, Incidents & Queries are maintained through well-documented project artifacts. All documents are placed on a common repository available to all relevant stakeholders of the project.

Communication Mediums:
We adopt wide spectrum of communication mediums as well as latest tools and utilities to conduct uninterrupted, one-to-one interactions and information flow with our clients. Non-structured communication for general discussions and queries are carried out through E-mail, telephone, fax, Instant Messaging/Conferencing through Yahoo messenger, MSN messenger, Skype, Net Meeting etc., and VOIP.

All communications - levels and mediums - are clearly defined at the initial planning stage.

Risk Management
All stages of a production have their own sets of risks. Early identification and skillful management of risks can make a difference between success and failure of a project. Our production managers are trained to identify risks - one that is encountered in a regular delivery phase or the one that is specific to a given situation. All risks are graded; an appropriate mitigation plan is proposed, agreed and tracked to closure.

Our risk management process equips our production managers for effective assessment of technical and functional bottlenecks and take preventive measures, ensuring that the production makes minimal diversion from the agreed time and budget. The process is iterative and is performed periodically for every phase. Eon's specific standards and procedures allow our managers to adopt the most viable approach that keeps expenditure minimum and has the least effect on the smooth running of the delivery process.

Issues ManagementIssues Management
During a product development life cycle, various types of issues or concerns are encountered, which if not handled efficiently, can hamper a project's progress or can even tarnish a company's image and reputation. These issues can be technical, functional, business or even social. Eon Technologies skilled managers, with the help of specific tools and standards, are able to monitor, review and address every possible issue that can erupt during a product development process. These tools enable managers to pre-empt potential issues, take precautionary actions in advance, and prepare rest of the team members accordingly.

Our managers are trained to capture and track all issues as they occur, analysing and resolving them on a systematic and periodic basis without derailing the work flow of the project. These details are also appended into the master project plan to make appropriate alteration to the time and cost factors associated with the project. These issues are also reported and updated simultaneously to both the project teams located at Eon as well as the client's end.

IPR Protection
Over the past several years, the world has witnessed a plethora of emerging technologies that has changed the way we communicate. The inherent nature of distributed applications and Internet has enabled all kinds information to be transmitted across various communication nodes, making it accessible to foreign parties. At the same time, it has also opened several access points through which malicious people can intercept data, disrupt operations or generate fraudulent input. Thus in today's data-critical project environments, it has become increasingly important to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity for the data.

Eon Technologies' standards, tools and procedures are suited for product development of highest quality, ensuring an IPR-secure environment. The IPR of our product deliverables is owned 100% by our clients. Our managers follow strict guidelines to sketch robust and cost-effective contingency plans to protect Intellectual capital, resources and assets that are so valuable and integral for mission-critical projects. With the help of appropriate confidentiality agreements and legal protection, we guarantee our clients a safe and secure work process.

Knowledge Transfer
For a team to stay together as a cohesive unit with a common direction, it is essential that proper transferring of sufficient and relevant information be done to all members of a project. In addition, it is also imperative that Knowledge transfer is done not just within teams of the same project but also across teams of different projects. Eon Technologies facilitates efficient project planning and management by proper dissemination of knowledge to everyone - be it a project manager or a developer.

We follow stringent methodologies to ensure knowledge is captured and dispensed accurately and efficiently. A high-level of expertise in various business domains and a keen understanding of client's requirements helps us document all project-based details in a systematic and structured manner. Documentation is done in various forms such as Design docs, Technical Architecture docs, Approach docs, etc.

Once the requirements are documented, we impart the knowledge to our clients to the best of their understanding. This enables our clients to have better vision of the project, thereby lessening unnecessary risks and saving valuable time and effort.
